Clutch Booster

The clutch booster, also known as a clutch servo, is a critical part of a vehicle's clutch system, especially in trucks with manual transmissions. Its primary function is to assist the driver in operating the clutch pedal with minimal effort, particularly in heavy-duty vehicles where the clutch pedal pressure can be significant.

The clutch booster works by using engine vacuum or compressed air to apply additional force to the clutch pedal, making it easier for the driver to engage and disengage the clutch. This assistance is particularly beneficial in stop-and-go traffic, when frequent clutch pedal operation is required. By reducing the effort required to operate the clutch, the clutch booster enhances driver comfort and reduces fatigue during long hours of driving.
